Every day, the Hornet Park Community Center engages youth and families from the Beech Grove community. When they come through our doors, they find opportunities to learn, have fun, be creative, and connect with each other. Our programs are designed to engage our community, bring together families, and help those in need. While most of these programs are free to the public, funding is always required. Aside from our free weekly Community Dinners, our most impactful youth program is Buzz Club.

Buzz Club is our most attended out-of-school time program.

This program offers the families of Beech Grove affordable care for their students, filling the gap between school and home. With the help of Beech Grove teachers, University of Indianapolis students, and our staff, we provide quality out of school time activities like art lessons, animal shows, outdoor and fitness games, homework help, and (with the support of Chartwells) snacks and dinner are included. While we keep our fee low and just enough to cover costs, there are still some of our families who find this cost to be a burden.

On October 11th, we would love for you to join us for our 1st Annual Fun(draiser) Lunch in the Park at the Hornet Park Community Center! We will not only share with you some of the fun things we do with the kids, but you will get to meet some of our partners, create a collaborative art piece for our center, eat a tasty lunch, and spend some time exploring our space.

Will you join us in supporting the youth in our community by sponsoring Buzz Club?
